INTRODUCTION
It was the death of her friend’s father in India and the struggle his wife underwent to arrange the funeral that triggered Saumya Vardhan’s (Vardhan) decision to give up her well-paid job at a renowned consulting major and start the online religious services portal ShubhPuja.com (Shubhpuja) in 2013. Vardhan, an alumnus of prestigious schools like Lancaster University and Imperial College , had had the entrepreneurial spirit in her right from the beginning.
